About | À propos

I am a cultural policy scholar with a creative practitioner background who specializes in the study of cultural organizations and cultural governance in Canada. My expertise lies at the intersection of critical cultural policy studies, arts management, art history, cultural and creative industries studies, and communication studies. As a researcher, I pay critical attention to how power manifests in interactions between creative practitioners, cultural organizations, and governmental policies and agencies. I am committed to applying ethics of care methodologies, to fostering community-driven praxis, and to developing participatory knowledge mobilization initiatives that benefit under-resourced stakeholders in the cultural and heritage sectors.

I am presently a SSHRC-funded Postdoctoral Fellow in the Department of Communication Studies and Media Arts at McMaster University under the supervision of Dr. Sara Bannerman.
